Mobilizing re-urbanisation on condition of demographic change

Objective

The aim of the project is to analyse re-urbanisation potentials and obstacles of inner-city residential areas and to develop instruments, incentives and strategies for an appropriate use of these potentials. The project focuses on inner-city residential areas of different Cities of the EU and the CEES. Different techniques and methods (transferable indicators, multi-criteria assessment, expert interviews, scenario-workshops) are combined into and integrated approach. The project results in visions and action plans for the areas investigated, in a transferable interdisciplinary toolbox providing instruments for the promotion of re-urbanisation, an information and monitoring system, a communication strategy and international expert team as service institution for the support of integrated urban development approaches for inner-city residential areas.
