Objective
SUDLAB will provide city managers with information about the relative performance of their area on a range of measures of sustainable urban development (SUD), and the factors influencing future SUD including policy and technological drivers. Solutions generated by KA4 projects and from wider city experience will be presented. SUDLAB will support KA4 projects by identifying the 'markets' for the products, and promoting their application. SUDLAB will provide a web based service powered by a database and team of content managers, which will be validated by Trial City users and policy experts. The capability of the database will enable users to generate reports relevant to policy choices, based on comparisons and scenario testing, at lower than current costs. SUDLAB will be developed in stages, with prospective users closely involved in testing and relate to the roll out of FP4 projects and EU level policy priorities. SUDLAB will be market tested and developed to become self-financing.
