Objective
1. e-Ruption will create a prototype network forecasting and early warning system for improved prediction of volcanic eruptions, based on an analysis and classification of diagnostic seismic signals that are precursors to volcanicactivity;
2. e-Ruption will provide risk information on potential volcanic eruptions to environmental and civil protection agencies at volcanically active sites;
3. e-Ruption will allow volcanologists, environmental and civil protection personnel, and the general public to access a database server system in real time via the Internet and high-bandwidth terrestrial and satellite communication networks.
