Organization of the seventh symposium "natural radiation environment NRE-VII"

Objective

The project aims to the partial financial support of the organisation of the seventh Symposium, since 1963, "Natural Radiation Environment VII". The Symposium will provide a forum for scientists to address issues involved in the field of Natural Radiation, including occupational health and technologically enhanced natural radioactivity, and to present their current work. Much of the material presented will be of direct relevance to the implementation of the new EU Basic Safety Standards. The Symposium will be held in Greece and the attendees are expected to exceed 400, many of them coming from non-EU European countries and NIS countries. A significant percentage of such scientists will be granted the Symposium fee. The proceedings will be published in a CD-ROM and peer reviewed papers in an international scientific journal. An international exhibition of instrumentation will be organized during the Symposium.
The objective is the organisation of "Natural Radiation Environment VII"Symposium. This Symposia series has a long standing tradition since 1963 and aims to provide a forum for scientific workers to address issues involved in the field of Natural Radiation in aspects of both the Natural Radiation Environment and the Technologically Enhanced Natural Radiation. Participants from all over the world will present results of their current work. Much of the material presented will be of direct relevance to the implementation of the new EU BSS (Basic Safety Standards). The Symposium will be held in Greece and the attendees are expected to be more than 400.The proceedings will published in CD-ROM and peer reviewed papers will be included in a Proceedings volume published by Elsevier. Underprivileged countries scientists will be supported to participate.
