Dissemination of Programme achievements for research in radiological sciences

Objective

The global objective of the proposal is to contribute to the implementation of the Nuclear Energy Programme by enhancing exchange of information. This is achieved by providing the publication of a Newsletter and a world wide web site in order to:
- circulate within the European Commission and the community of radiation protection specialists is the European Union the information of the Programme reflecting the activities and the progress of the key actions and generic research carried out in radiological sciences;
- disseminate to the broader community of institutes and authorities in each Member State, as well as other international bodies concerned by the key issues of radiation protection, the information of the research activities carried out under the Programme in radiological sciences and major achievements translated in a form understandable by a broader public.

The proposal is aimed at the exchange of information achieved by the publication of a Newsletter reflecting the research activities carried out under the key actions and generic research in radiological sciences. Combined with a web page, the Newsletter contributes to the dissemination of the Programme achievements within the EU radiation protection community and other national and international bodies concerned by the key issues of radiation protection. The information (general information, reports, announcements) comes from the research groups and consortia engaged in the Programme. The material is gathered and selected by an editorial board representing the Commission and the networking organisations EULEP and EURADOS covering the area of health and dosimetry respectively. The project consolidates the link between these organisations and their representation with other international networks contributing to a better exploitation of research.
