Objective Due to restructuring of the electricity market and companies performing construction and maintenance work for NPP there is a need to enhance the qualification of young engineers and scientists entering the nuclear area or train engineers who change their area of expertise. Aim of the course on the integrity of pressurised components is to provide a comprehensive insight in basic elements on integrity analysis and assessment, to deepen the understanding of interdisciplinary nature of integrity assessment which involves all basic elements of definition of loads, structural analysis, material characterisation and manufacturing, non-destructive testing and surveillance methods including defect assessment. Supplementary presentations cover ongoing R&D activities and European and national codes and standards.
