Internal dosimetry - enhancements in application

Objective

Workers in the nuclear industry and members of the general public are exposed to ionising radiation, both from sources external to their bodies as to radionuclides incorporated into their bodies. The monitoring of such internal radiation exposure is less accurate and more tedious than external radiation monitoring. This proposal aims at enhancements in application of internal dosimetry to increase both the accuracy and the speed of internal exposure monitoring techniques. Methods that could improve internal monitoring, but whose applicability for routine application has not been demonstrated sufficiently are investigated. Better in vivo and bioassay monitoring techniques are the final goal of this project.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
