Joint safety research index

Objective

The reactor safety research programmes of the various countries use to be similar, so there is great danger to waste valuable resources due to duplication work. The EU together with the OECD-NEA therefore decided setting up a joint index of reactor safety research projects conducted in the member states, the Joint Safety Research Index (JRSI). This index was intended to offer research institutions to inform themselves on research work being performed elsewhere and to seek cooperation with researches engaged in similar safety issues. The OECD-NEA in an early stage of the JRSI and the EU decided to complete the first stage of the JRSI within the 4th Framework Programme. This proposed project is to continue the JRSI comprising member states of the EU and associated countries. Further efforts shall be taken to optimise form and content of the index and to create a user-friendly data base accessible from the internet.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
