Objective
The general objective is to provide a platform for bringing together scientists working in the various fields of radiation monitoring and radiation dosimetry. It is aimed to provide a link between the different research fields concentrated in cost-shared contracts or concerted actions of the 5th FWP. Cluster meetings will be regularly organised. The transfer of knowledge and expertise between scientists participating in the research programme and those in Europe who are working in this field but are not directly involved, will be increased. A report on irradiation facilities and other unique equipment available for radiation protection research will support an effective use and future joint research. The transfer of expertise into radiation protection practice will be another task. All goals will be realised by using the existing structure of EURADOS who since 20 years has gained experience in organising collaboration between scientists in Europe.
The general objective is to provide a platform for bringing together scientists working in the various fields of radiation dosimetry. Based on the experience of EURADOS which since 20 years organises collaboration the specific objectives are
- to provide a link between scientists working in different research fields in radiation dosimetry performed in cost
-shared contracts or concerted actions
- to collect and distribute knowledge on existing irradiation facilities and other unique laboratory equipment in Europe for use in radiation protection research
- to increase the transfer of expertise between scientists directly participating in the 5th FWP and those specialists in Europe who are working in this field but are not directly involved,
- to help increasing the links between scientists working on research and those responsible for implementation of radiation protection measures into practice.
