Objective The Fellowship will permit a student from the Department of Physics in Heraklion, Greece, to study at the University of Oxford, England. This is part of a collaboration between the Atmospheric Physics groups in both universities to study the composition in the stratos- phere, using satellite data from instruments built in Oxford and models developed in Greece and elsewhere. The work will concentrate on the variablity of stratospheric ozone, and also on water vapour and possible relationships between the two. Good data on both has already been obtained from the Oxford ISAMS instrument, which flew on the Upper Atmosphere Research Satellite. Ms Koutoulaki will be registered for an advanced degree at Oxford while holding the Fellowship.
