Objective
We intend to study different aspects of supersymmetric extensions of the Standard Model, mainly in the framework of the M(inimal) S(upersymmetric) S(tandard) M(odel) (with conservation of Rparity), but also in more general models with extra Higgs bosons (additional gauge singlets, more doublets, etc). The rnain effort will be devoted to phenomenological implications derived in some appealing theoretical scenarios (Supergravity, Supersymmetric Grand Unified Theories, infrared fixed point structures), thus testing the viability of those theoretical inputs. Another way of constraining the parameters of the models is to study some of their cosmological predictions. Two relevant examples are: a) study of the dark matter problem (Rparity conserving supersymmetric models offer a possible solution with a natural dark matter candidate in the lightest supersymmetric particle); b) study of electroweak baryogenesis (the MSSM can make viable also this mechanism of generation of the cosmological baryon asymmetry, which is ruled out in the non-supersymmetric minimal version of the Standard Model).

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
