Advanced 3d visualization of human brain structure and activation

Objective

This project aims at the further development of the methods used in the analysis and interpretation of functional brain images obtained by positron emission tomography (PET) or functional magnetic resonance (fMR) imaging. This research will be of value for both clinical work and other physiological research studies on the brain.
This project will also develop a virtual environment that will provide tools for a full 3D interactive real-time display of medical image. This environment, based on advanced 3D computer graphics (virtual reality) will facilitate the dialogue between Mds, engineers and physicists. All necessary data for development and evaluation will be supplied by collaborators at the department of Neurology at the university hospital of Copenhagen.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
