Strategic management and competitiveness of greek enterprises - characteristics and critical success factors

Objective

The main objective of the proposed project is the investigation of the Greek management model with particular emphasis on the strtategic choices and the competitiveness of Greek enterprises, as well as on the critical success factors. Empirical evidence will be collected from a sample of 100 Greek manufacturing firms through structured interviews based on a tailor made questionnaire. Further than depicting the dynamics and characteristics working in the Greek context, research hypotheses on the relations between strategy, competitive methods, managerial choices, contextual and enterprise characteristics and effectiveness will be tested. Expected results include a mapping of the Greek management model as well as hypotheses testing. The proposed project is a continuation and expansion of the researcher's previous research work and well within the research interests of the host institution.
