European transfrontier cooperation at the scale of the autonomous community of catalonia

Objective

The objective of the present research is to analyze the law as applied to transfrontier cooperation. This study will be limited to the relations of the Catalonian autonomous community and the territorial collectivities that belong to it, with the territorial collectivities from other member States of the European Union.
After describing the European transfrontier cooperation actually done at the scale of the Catalonian autonomous community, it shall be convenient to compare the legal mechanisms used for the transfrontier cooperation within the Catalonian autonomous community, with the national and international legal instruments implemented to develop this type of cooperation, with the aim of establishing if they are actually adapted or should be modified.
On this base, the next step will be to discover the type of legal instruments that could be useful for the growth of the transfrontier cooperation within the Catalonian autonomous community.
