Atomic surface structure of ternary iii v compounds grown by movpe

Objective

Research objectives and content In this project is planned to cap MOVPE grown samples with the appropriate group V elements with UV radiation from an excimer laser. The surface before capping and the capping procedure will be monitored by RAS. The samples will be tranferred then to an UHV chamber where the deccaping process is initiated under the control of LEED, AES, RAS, Raman scattering and other UHV techniques like Thermal Desorption Spectroscopy. the final surface will be controlled by Auger in order to check its contamination. The innovative aspect of this project lies in the fact that for the first time capped MOVPE grown samples will become available for surface analysis with standard UHV techniques as well as novel optical probes. Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact) Training in specific techniques available only in Berlin Links with industry / industrial relevance(22) A close cooperation existing with AXTRON (Aachen) who are one of the largest producers of MOVPE equipments

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
