Non-convex analysis in economic models

Objective

The main objective is to get into touch and discuss with the members of the host institution which work on equilibrium theory and, in particular, on equilibrium existence theorems without convexity conditions. From these discussions, it is expected to obtain general equilibrium existence results and existence of Nash equilibrium ones as a consequence of the applicability of the structure of abstract convexity I introduced in my dissertation (mc-spaces) to this models. If it is possible, it would allow to apply these results to situations in which the convexity condition is not a natural condition of the model and thus, to solve more realistic situations..
The benefits expected from these results are mainly the potential applicability of them in order to solve many problems in which the convexity condition is not an intrinsic condition. Moreover the transference of knowledge between both countries in these areas (the results I have obtained in abstract convexity contexts and the ones obtained by the researchers of CEPREMAP in general equilibrium theory without convexity conditions) is the main objective of this project in order to get a bigger European cohesion.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
