Objective
RESEARCH QUESTIONS
1 What factors determine the growth potential of new, technology-based firms (NTBFs)? 2 What are the optimal strategies for realizing this growth potential?
CONTENT
1 Develop a new resource-based theory for the growth of NTBFs 2 Test the theory in regional agglomerations of NTBFs in Europe
Development of metrics for appropriability, sustainability, durability, complexity, tactiness to empirical surveys of NTBFs (Helsinsky and Oulu: Finland, Cambridge and Oxford;UK) 3 applications of real theory for assessing growth and value potential of NTBFs for litterature survey and experts interviews.
TRAINING IMPACT
I work with leading researchers in a leading European research institution in the area to strenghten research skills in venture capital and NTBF finance (work wirh Hay, Sapienza, Prevezer, Baptista) help the applicant to become further integrated in the international research community. The applicant will be able to transfer his experience back to his home institution, thus contributing to the European cohesion.
INDUSTRY LINKS
The research is carried out in close contact with NTBFs. The results are made available for participating NTBFs so that they can immediately apply them.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
