Objective
Research objectives and content It is the aim of this proposal to facilitate and to carry out studies of ocean dynamics in the Canary region and the effect on biogeochemical property distributions. The work will include the analysis, integration and synthesis of ocean data together with Spanish scientists and students, and with other European oceanographers. The activities will also complement the MAST-III project CANIGO with respect to the dissemination and exploitation of CANIGO results. Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact) The objective of the training content is to impart knowledge and research experience to the local research community and to students of the Canarian universities. The benefit for the local community will be a transfer of know -how and an improved understanding of the ocean system in the Canary region. It is expected that as a result of this work the Spanish research groups will be more closely linked to other European groups. Links with industry / industrial relevance (22) none
