Objective
Research objectives and content:
We shall examine the Nature of National Identity at first, its roots in people's sub-conscious, its importance for the individuals, its function and strength in every day life. On the other hand, we must answer whether, in an age of Globalisation, National Identity is subject to changes and towards which direction. The empirical research that will be implemented is very significant because, through the case studies we are going to question the theoretical findings and verify or alter them as appropriate.
Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact)
Regarding the benefit from the training provided through TMR, my expectations are twofold: first, it will allow me to go deep into my special area of interest (which is National Identity) and expand my knowledge to the relevant, widespread, contemporary debate on Globalisation and its impact on National Identity; second, I anticipate to make a significant contribution with this research to the relevant scientific debate, particularly in the European Union.
