Olefin metathesis - application to synthesis of bioactive medium and macrocycles natural products

Objective

Research objectives and content
Applications of ring closing metathesis methodologies for the synthesis of important moisture macrocycles. The Prof. Dr. Furstner's group has the experience in Olefin Methatesis chemistry, as well as in organometallic chemistry to use a good tool for the development of this project. Training content (objective, benefit and expected impact)
My research will involve catalytic organometallic chemistry, as an useful tool to the synthesis of medium and macrocyclic compounds with industrial or pharmacological activities, adquiring a good formation in the area of catalytic synthetic chemistry. Therefore, this can have an important impact in my potential future in research in Spain.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
