Phenomenological implications of supersymmetric models

Objective

Research objectives and content
The research objective of the proposecl project is the study of the phenomenological implications of extensions of supersymmetric models at the col- lider machines. The moclels I will study include the minimal supersymmetric standard model with an aclditional gauge singlet models with an extra U(1) and superstring-derived models. I will study both the direct and indirect evidences of such models. As indirect evidences I will focus on the precise electroweak measurcments at LEP and SLC. I will compute the radiative corrections within these models and thell I ill compare ttlC electro eak data with ttle theoretical predictions studying how to discrilllinate betweell the arious mo(lels. For the direct searches at LEP 2 the Tevatron and LHC I will compute the cross sec- tion of production of the supersymmetric particles within the above models.
Training content (objective benefit and expected impact)
With the proposecl project I expect to acquire a lot of experience and a very good knowledge on superstring-deri ed models SIlSy models with e;tra U(1) and/or with extra gauge singlets. I t)elie e that thc collaboratioll with the re- search group in Paris will be a ery goocl opportunity to increase my knowledge o n this subject.
