Biomolecular complexes mediating membrane biogenesis and translocation

Objectif



Our existing Network has made a significant training impact in the area, involving 11 new workers. Over 30 younger workers attended our two annual, of major importance since they impinge on all cellular events and are essential to cell viability. To address these contemporary and challenging EC observed, meetings and >70 young researchers interact with EC-supported staff. The group organized an ESF Network (1991-1994) involving >600 young topics we will study: - the nature of components involved in membrane people. Thus, we are experienced in supervising young researchers to a biogenesis;
- molecular recognition (protein-protein and protein-lipid) and high level of competence.
translocation events during membrane assembly and translocation. This TMR proposal will permit us to maintain the considerable momentum of collaboration initiated by our existing EC HC&M Research Network. We have a record of quality joint research projects (8 joint papers in 12 months). Our expertise is multi-disciplinary, from innovative molecular biology to state of the art biophysics.
Our success is recognised by the EC; we were one of 10 HC&M Networks (out of 700) selected to produce a booklet on our activities. We also helped establish a laboratory in a less favoured EC region (Portugal); here we include a newly established researcher in Greece.
