a MULTIDISCIPLINARY STRUCTURAL GLYCOBIOLOGY RESEARCH NETWORK FOR the STRUCTURE ELUCIDATION, DESIGN AND SYNTHESIS OF FUNCTIONAL CARBOHYDRATE determinants

Objective

CARENET-2 integrates the subdisciplines, laboratories and international based, products, focused on an understanding of the molecular features of experts needed for effective research into chemical aspects of carbohydrate carbohydrate recognition. The research can be summarized as: recognition and thus creates an environment for authorative teaching of novel aspects and developments. CARENET-2 has workshops, symposia, In quest of the functionality of carbohydrate chains in bio-recognition and regulatory processes. A multidisciplinary structural glycobiology specialist courses and an annual conference directed towards research approach to the structure elucidation, design and synthesis of functional training. Specialist training stages and exchange programmes provide in carbohydrate determinants for chemical, biological and pharmacological depth training with a broad scope. The most important contribution is the on the job training:
properties and their application for the generation of biomedically relevant products.
Research is trained by doing research in a good research team. CARENET-2 integrates research into carbohydrate bio-recognition processes and deals with:
structural glycobiology (structure determination, biological activity and theoretical aspects)
PEGA-resins for solid-phase synthesis separation, purification and characterisation oligosaccharide synthesis (classical synthesis, chemo-enzymic approaches, solid-phase synthesis, building block and combinatorial approaches) establishing oligosaccharide libraries for synthesis and binding assays.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.

Funding Scheme

Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
