Hyperbolic systems of conservation laws

Objective

The training contents of this project are based on the committment to in the theory of Hyperbolic Systems of Conservation Laws, one of the most invest human and financial resources for a 9 postdocs program. We plan classical and important part in the theory of Nonlinear Partial to have a summer school dedicated to postdocs and to use existing and future relations with industrial research groups.
Differential Equations.
The proposed research area is of strategic interest because it has a preminant role in Applied Mathematics.
Indeed it is between the most relevant tools used in Engineering and Applied Physics modelling.
We intent to investigate the most relevant application of the theory to a large variety of models and in the meanwhile develop the hard core of the theory.
Our research proposal will cover both theoretical and numerical aspects We believe that it is necessary for the Community to became stronger and competitive in this area. The non EEC teams, operating on the same subject, receive (particularly in USA) a strong financial support by their national research programs.
Our proposed network has 8 teams in 6 countries.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
