Objective
The theoretical work outlined in this proposal will focus on generic phenomena in nano-scale superconducting, semiconducting and magnetic such as recursive Green's function techniques, random matrix theory and hybrids. Studies of phase coherent Andreev scattering in
transfer matrix methods. These are core techniques and by becoming familiar superconductor-2DEG and superconductor-ferromagnet hybrids will encompass with them, the young researchers in this project will acquire a range of resonant transport, level statistics, the role of non-local pairing, order transferable skills. This proposal will place a postdoctoral researcher into each of eight teams. By organizing and participating in Summer Schools parameter dynamics and time dependent transport. Studies of interaction and workshops, each team has established a track record for the training of effects will examine the role of electron-electron and electron- phonon interactions in quantum dots.
young scientists. The network will form part of a Euroconference proposal and a Network of Excellence in mesoscopic superconductivity. Annual network meetings will give young researchers an Opportunity to improve presentational skills and exchange ideas. Each postdoctoral researcher will spend of order one month per year visiting other institutions in the network.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
