GENERATION AND APPLICATION of ULTRA-SHORT, LASER-PRODUCED X-RAY PULSES

Objectif

The present stage of development of this field of research is ideal in table-top, locally available and affordable lasers. In fact, X-ray terms of training: laser physicists with an optical background see radiation in excess of 1 GW can only be produced by short-pulse, themselves confronted with X-ray technology. A first consequence is that collaboration has to be established between groups that bring in X-ray high-intensity lasers. In this way we propose to generate X-ray radiation expertise, groups that bring in laser technology and groups that can apply that will be utilised for experiments in a wide range of physics, with novel biological and medical applications. Because of the rapid development the new technology in various disciplines. A second consequenee is that a in the ultra-short pulsed laser technology and because the proposed scheme new generation of physicists will be trained with a new and widely applicable background, namely the combination of ultra-short pulses, for conversion from visible light to X-ray can potentially be robust and cheap, the approach might very well develop from a laboratory tool to a lasers, optics and X-rays.
widely applicable source. This development will be accelerated by the present proposal.
