Resultados aprovechables
COSEPPA demonstrates the feasibility of a commercially viable electronic platform directly managed by individual artists to promote and trade their artworks. COSEPPA implements a pilot for the electronic commerce and trading of artworks with the objective of fostering co-operation between individual artists.
This pilot will enable the different commercial dimensions of this domain to be tested with a view to a cost effective commercial exploitation of the implemented services by the year 2000.
The pilot will be applied to plastic arts (sculptures) and will be set-up in co-operation with a group of European artists from AIAP (Association International des Arts Plastiques) which is sponsored by the UNESCO world organization. COSEPPA has the following goals:
· The implementation of a web server including an electronic rights management system (electronic notary, watermarking server), an electronic catalogue, an online payment system and an automated
indexing data system. The mounting of a non-profit association which will operate as the legal agent acting on behalf of artists to promote their works and protect their interests.
The online selling of services, virtual objects and especially the letting of physical artworks and the licensing of reproduction rights.
The implementation of "intelligent assistants" which will electronically provide help with animation and the development of the marketplace and sales while facilitating contacts between individual artists and economic players.
