Virtual design and automation centre

Objective

The project objective is to create a centre of excellence - Virtual Design and Automation Centre (VIDA) - at Foznan University of Technology, in the Institute of Mechanical Technology (IMt), and to organise collaboration network with the twinning Demonstration Centre ViPro, in Berlin. The project will result in implementation of integrated common design environment for collaborative work on inter-operable virtual product and process models. VIDA would also help the researchers of IMt working in the broad field of product and process development, to participate fully in the European education and research society, by improving local infrastructure and adopting methodologies that are compliant with the European Union regulations and good practice. The project is also focused on the transfer of new methods and technology related to the virtual product creation to industry, especially to SMEs.
