Towards the setting up of a network of excellence in nanotechnology in construction applications

Objective

NANOCONEX is a Type 2 Accompanying Measure for Studies in Preparation of Future Activities. The principal objective of NANOCONEX is to pave the way for the setting-up of a Network of Excellence (NoE) on Nanotechnolgy in Construction Applications (i.e. building and civil engineering sectors, including related energy and the environment issues). The overall objective of, NANCONEX, is to lay the technical, organisational, financial and administrative/political groundwork of a proposed Network of Excellence overcoming the barriers at this preparatory stage, in order to ensure early achievement of the benefits which will flow from the establishment of the NoE. This project is thus only the first stage of a proposed two-stage European research effort to develop the use of nanotechnology in construction.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: https://op.europa.eu/en/web/eu-vocabularies/euroscivoc.
