Objective
The idea of the present project is based on the use of high pressure methods for research and technology. This approach proved to be extremely efficient and competitive during the realization of the already granted "Centers of Excellence" project and led to the significant development of our Center of Excellence (demonstration of blue-laser action, new laboratories, new Ph.D. students). In the present project we will apply high pressure methods for the development of nitride-semiconductor blue- and UV-light emitters and nanocrystalline ceramics for optoelectronics as well as for control of solid-state-lasers used for optical pumping, protein agglomeration, and food processing. The purpose of the present project is also to still better integrate different research areas in our Center and increase collaboration with other Centers of Excellence and leading research and industrial institutions in Europe.

Topic(s)
Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Funding Scheme
Funding scheme (or “Type of Action”) inside a programme with common features. It specifies: the scope of what is funded; the reimbursement rate; specific evaluation criteria to qualify for funding; and the use of simplified forms of costs like lump sums.
