Objective
The objective of the IMPETUS project is to provide pragmatic, low-cost and SME specific methods and tools to generate and assess ideas and innovations as well as to plan innovation activities for the formulation of an innovative and progressive future product respectively service, reflected on technological trends and market (consumer) demands. The IMPETUS methods and tools will provide instruments to support organisational structures and work practices for the innovation process from idea generation to the planning of innovation activities. This elaborated Innovation Management Scenario will integrate people (human factors), organisational (reference processes), methodological and technological aspects. The consortium contains 4 industrial partners, 3 solution providers and one ICT-solution provider. An industrial supporter group will support and be further expanded during the whole project. Main results will be: IM benchmarking study, IM reference models, IM methodology handbook, a SME-specific IM tool and a road map "how to implement sustainable innovation in SMEs".
