Objective
This project will realise an ultra flexible robotized spray painting solution for small lot sizes under low total volumes per year. The technical solution will be to integrate off-line CAD and sensing data with on-line robotic control. The consortium consists of 4 industrial end-user, 1 industrial technology provider, 2 research institutes and 1 private research organisation. The approach will be focused on industrial requirements and finally large scale basic building blocks, a first prototype implementation and finally large scale implementations. An industrial supporter group will also be setup to further integrate other interested companies, especially SMEs. Exploitation will be based on a new product range for this kind of application. Economic benefits of more than 121MEuro are expected within 3 years after finishing the project.
