Objective
The project's general innovative approach is to develop a clean and dry HSC technology avoiding all the problems and hazards arising from cooling lubricants and chips. The main concept for realisation is to collect the chips immediately after generation by means of specially designed new tools, development of new machine tool elements (tool-spindle interface, design and surface technology of the working area) and determination of suitable cutting parameters. This concept is based on the development of a new tool generation specially designed for internal chip removal.
