Total optimisation process based on field data transfer for european machine builders

Objective

Machine life cycle cost and reliability are important decision criteria and have strategic impact on the European machine tool building industry. Service is often provided by the customer or service providers. Thus, machine tool builders do not get sufficient information to estimate life cycle cost and reliability. They also lack adequate methods/techniques to improve current and future products systematically.

It is the objective to develop a field data based optimisation process for the machine tool building industry with field data collection and methods/ techniques support, comprising design, production, service and use. A software tool will be developed to support the optimisation methods and techniques for field data feedback and exploitation. To ensure the acceptance of the approach win/win situations for information suppliers and users will be developed.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
