System analysis for the production of technical rubber goods and tires

Objective

The proposal considers the production process of tires and technical rubber goods Recent developments in terms of new raw materials have been made, but new processes are not introduced into the production today. Focussed is the chemical reaction of the filler system silica/silane, which the introduction of the "green tire" formulation demands. Today the problem is solved by the use of standard equipment but high costs and quality are still problems. The solution proposed is the development of a silanisation reactor suitable designed for this purpose. The second core task considers the today available powdered form polymers. Such raw materials will allow for continuous compounding processes. Compared to the traditional compounding this will ensure more process control safety, energy and raw material safe. As a solution a pilot machine concept will be investigated for purposes of tire and technical rubber goods production.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
