Objective
PHYCELLO project propose to develop within the paper industry a new concept of chemistry (named Chromatogenic chemistry), which will be the basis of an innovative production process for cellulose-based materials with hydrophobic properties. The objective of this new process is to replace current processes on one hand, and to propose papers with new characteristics on the other hand. The Work Programme of the project has been built to go from the idea to the industrial process through 7 Work Packages. The main axes of the research will be related to the process ability and the study of fundamental parameters of the technology. A pre-industrial validation phase will end the Work Programme. PHYCELLO partnership is gathering 6 organisation from 4 European countries, including 2 technology suppliers and 2 end-users associated to 2 Research organisations.
