Elaboration of technology and equipment for continuous duplex treatment of hot forging tools

Objective

The project concerns duplex technology and is aimed at development of the technology and equipment for continuous duplex treatment of hot forging tools and studying the wear behaviour of tools coated with composite layers: nitrided case/PVD coatings. The technology will be carried out in a developed prototype based on an arc-vacuum device adapted to execution of continuous duplex treatment. The project will be realised by eight partners (two REC, two RES and four IND) from 7 countries. Main effects of the project will be execution of two innovative tasks: development of continuous one-stage duplex technology for surface treatment of hot forging tools and development and manufacture of an industrial device for execution of this technology.
