Promoting inter-european networks of collaborating extended enterprises

Objective

Many European SMEs within extended enterprises (EE) producing complex products have strong relations/networks with suppliers from countries of the eastern part of Europe. Concerned EEs face enormous challenges during their daily international project work. The all-important factor that will set EEs apart from their competitors is time. Anything that stops the flow of information, materials and money within a project between suppliers, partners, customers and employees will reduce their effectiveness and at the end their market share. The aim of this project is to develop a low-cost and pragmatic information communication technology (ICT) to support EEs. Thereby the objective of PROMINENCE is to give potential support to manage above mentioned challenge by a project managing software tool in connection with e-business application (PRO-MAT), reachable and traceable via internet/intranet by all involved parties within an EE.
