Establishing a documented framework for over the net concurrent engineering and cooperation between large industrial auto and aeronautical companies and smes

Objective

Project NETFRAME (industrial internet framework), to be developed by a consortium that includes aeronautical companies, automotive industries and industry associations with a large membership of SMEs, addresses the issues of the intro?? of the networked engineering processes by developing a comprehensive toolset that includes: An audit tool that will enable companies to certify the capability of the target organizations to cope with new the framework environment, within the context of a quality improvement model such as the ISO Spice and CMMI models adopted within the information technology industry, this tool will be utilised by the consortium industry associations to certify members on the adherence to the requirements framework.

A self-assessment tool, with benchmarking capabilities so the companies, namely the SMEs can pinpoint processes where improvement will be mostly effective in order to be certifiable. This tool will assess technologies and business processes according to a set of best practices and will then produced set of improvement recommendations that will point a track for the SME that, if followed, will improve their ability to be certified A set of interactive tutorials that will enable both SMEs and groups within large companies to effectively learn from past experiences and on how to proceed (which An information repository and dearing house.
