Objective A CORONA discharge machine will be designed and industrially applied and new finishing processes developed. By these means, the scientific and technical objectives can be described as follows:To describe and control hidrophilization and reticulation mechanisms for CORONA interaction with reactive resins, softeners and flame retardant products;To characterise cotton textile materials and others natural fibres behaviour in function of CORONA treatment when integrating finishing processes of softening, easy-care and flame retardancy;To produce hydrophilic softened materials at lower costs and with cleaner effluents;To improve crease recovery properties lowering formaldehyde release;To improve flame retardant products performances;To finish raw fabrics and in consequence to produce GREEN textile materials;To construct a CORONA machine for textile finishing industry.
