Automatic quality control for industrial printing

Objective

In industry processes where the application of designs has an important protagonism, and where the production line is automated, there shouldn't exist any reason to continue making production tests for product validation. Besides, quality controls, exhaustive indeed, are still made at the end of the production line, once defective products cant' be recovered. It should be possible to predict the final product from the design (on the basis of production line limits knowledge), and their differences (on the basis of tolerances) . In this project production and knowledge management technologies, covering image and signal processing techniques and Knowledge Based Control Tools, will be proposed and developed in factories where design is capital, with the objective to predict product results, and optimise production line working ranks. The project will be applied to the ceramic tile and textile industry sectors.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.
