Invention and implementation of a novel robust design methodology

Objective

The proposed project, IMS-EURobust, is part of the international endorsed IMS-project IMS-Robust (#97009), which has strong participation from Japan and the US. The 15 European participants in the 36-month IMS-EURobust project represent a well-balanced mixture of companies, universities and research institutes across 6 European countries. The main objectives of the project are to:
(1) develop world class Robust Design tools and techniques applicable to European organisations - the EURobust toolkit,
(2) research barriers to the adaptation of Robust Design in European industry,
(3) test methodologies vigorously across a range of companies of different size and type,
(4) disseminate and commercially exploit and implement widely within the European Union.
