Development of an it based sytem for the design of the orienting part of vibratory bowl feeders for industrial applications

Objective

Proposal objective is to develop a CAD system for the design of the orienting part of vibratory bowl feeders for industrial applications. Vibratory bowl feeders are currently the chief means for the supply of small and medium sized components to automated machines, robotic assembly lines, packaging machines, etc., its main purpose is to position and orient components, so that they can be easily picked up by the machines. No automated design methodology exists for the development of such systems, which are currently developed through manual craftmanship and rule of thumb approaches, with heavy consequences for their reliability and the reliability of the shole automated plant. A CAD system, shose basic feasibility has already been established would have sustantial benefits for a large sector of SMEs devoted to the manufacturing of these components, as well as for the overall reliability of automated manufacturing systems.
