Ampoules laser pre-breaking system

Objective

The object of this research consists of an innovative pre - breaking system of primary glass containers such as ampoules and cartridges that not only do they have direct contact with liquids for pharmaceutical use but also with cosmetic and foodstuffs. The main part of these glass containers (ampoules) are equipped with a pre breaking systems to help the end user open them. The current methods which are used (colour-break, scoring, one -point-cut) are quite difficult to handle due to the poor stability and consequent pollution of the internal liquid during the opening phase. The ceramical paints are not environmentally sound and therefore are bound to create pollution. Reduced machine up-time 85%. The aim of the project is to come up with and test a prototypal laser unit which can actually carry out a pre breaking etching without having to fall back on other polluting materials for external use, thus minimising the liquid contamination. The up-time will then be 92%.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
