Compact packaging machine

Objective

The aim of the proposed research project is the development of a compact machine composed by integrated modular system manufacturing cardboard boxes (for shoe packaging, clothes packaging, toys packaging etc.) based on simple and innovative productive flow lay-out including a new moulding system that will optimise the plant productivity and minimise the maintenance operations. Simplicity is a key factor of innovation in the envisaged project. Novelty points are the following:- Less surface space occupied by the machine- Materials constituting the compact machine (polymeric composite material)- Higher flexibility of the machine allowing through modular construction and marketing stand alone box erector module or concentric locating module or gluing module or moulding module or any combination thereof.- Improvement of the work-environment (the use of composite materials will reduce the noisy level)
