Objective
Aim of the project is the identification of innovative technologies for the abatement of air pollutants (mainly Chromium) from the air effluents of the tanning industry, to be applied in small size plants mainly for the use of small and medium enterprises; a convenient option will join a reasonable efficiency together with reduced investment and maintenance costs A Prototype of an innovative filtering system for Chromium compounds will be developed tested and certified with the direct involvement of end users partners. The system will have to comply with precise technical but also economical requirements which can ensure its actual and sustainable applicability also form smaller tanning companies
