Development of analytical based software for the evaluation of industrial systems reliability

Objective

The objective of the RELYSOFT project is to develop innovative, friendly software for a consistent evaluation of any type of system reliability in function of time at a reasonable cost. The intended system, being based on purely analytical models and available data on materials characteristics and tolerances, will not require experimental data or too high software complexity and will therefore be affordable also to SMEs. The system will be based on the Failure Equation approach and is very innovative in that it is intended to represent in a totally analytical way the operative links among random quantities considering any type of, even non-linear, functional relations. This approach will also allow the evaluation of reliability also of unique systems and structures as civil and industrial structures, aero motive systems, etc. which could not possibly undergo experimental fault trials but whose reliability is most important for the safety of citizens and workers.

Fields of science (EuroSciVoc)

CORDIS classifies projects with EuroSciVoc, a multilingual taxonomy of fields of science, through a semi-automatic process based on NLP techniques. See: The European Science Vocabulary.

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
