Objective
The ecofridge addresses a new concept in the movement of heat sensitive products -- a unique package unit that stores flat, is reusable, recyclable and offers superior thermal qualities than polystyrene boxes (eps). The ecofridge concept is an innovative design that allows both simple storage, easy-assembly and has none of the negative environmental and cost problems associated with current polystyrene boxes. Utilising eco-sound materials, innovative design and experience and skills of the consortium; the ecofridge project aims to address this issue and skills a pilot assembly plant to test the ecofridge and convert the current polystyrene users over to the environmentally sound cost-effective ecofridge alternative.
