Objective
The objective of the tender is to develop the production technology of heat resistant timing belts made of silicon composite. The silicon composite timing belt is made of such environmental friendly components that do not contain harmful substances and has significantly higher heat and better abrasion resistance than traditional timing belt. Despite of advantageous quality of silicon it is directly not suitable for manufacturing timing belts made due to its flexibility, little hardness, and great adhesion. Heat resistant timing belts made of silicon composite could be useful for companies active either in food, pharmaceutical, machine, automotive or microelectronics industries. The initial successes of the experiments realized on the pilot timing belts encourage the Bervina to continue the research.
