Integrated automatic system to de-pallet and de-pack ceramic tiles

Objective

The IN-PACK project's objective is to design and realise an innovative an automatic system for the ceramic sector capable to:
1) De-pallet:
a) variable size pallets of semi-manufactured tiles which have to be further processed along the production line;
b) Euro pallet of final ceramic products.
2) Once de-palleted, un-pack the ceramic tiles. Currently, the operation for de-packaging and products preparation for further processing is carried out by human operators. The IN-PACK system will be based on an innovative concept having the following features:
1) Applicability to different size of ceramic- pallets (pallets from 30x30cm to 50x50cm and 800x1200x140 mm);
2)Applicability to different industrial sectors: food, mechanic components, wood.
3) A work machine based on the following operations to: Collect automatically the tile packages and position them on the un-packing unit. Cut the millboard edges. Grab the tiles and deposit them on a transportation line.
4) Automatic sorting of waste material

Programme(s)

Multi-annual funding programmes that define the EU’s priorities for research and innovation.

Topic(s)

Calls for proposals are divided into topics. A topic defines a specific subject or area for which applicants can submit proposals. The description of a topic comprises its specific scope and the expected impact of the funded project.

Call for proposal

Procedure for inviting applicants to submit project proposals, with the aim of receiving EU funding.
